Before & After School Care Program

$1.50 per day per student (maximum per family is $2.25)

AFTER SCHOOL CARE:

Charges will be in 1/2 hour increments. The chart is as follows:

IMPORTANT BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL CARE INFORMATION:

Dear Parents,

All students arriving on campus between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 7:45a.m. must report to Before School Care. BSC students must be dropped off at the front door. Students arriving between 7:45 and 8:00 must remain in the front lobby with the teacher on duty. No student may pass the double doors until the 8:00 bell rings.

Students remaining on campus after 3:35 p.m. must report to After School Care. Students involved in athletics or tutoring must report to the gymnasium or the teacher's classroom for tutoring at 3:35. This is a school policy and no student is to be unisupervised anywhere on campus after 3:35.

There should be no video games or music players of any kind brought to ASC (See handbook for items brought to school). Cell phoned are to be used only for parents calling about pick up.

The first 30 minutes of After School Care is for homework.  This is a mandatory rule.  All students must either bring homework to work on during the first 30 minutes or a book to read.  Younger students who may not have homework are encouraged to bring a book in their backpack.  Students must also come prepared with pencils/pens, paper, books, notebooks, etc. in their backpack.  They maynot make trips upstairs to collect items they did not bring with them.

Before School Care Charges:

Before School Care is from 7:15 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Students must go directly to the assigned room before going to the restroom or lockers. Parents will be charged one flat rate of $ 1.50 per day when their child stays in Before School Care. The maximum for a family per day is $2.25.

After School Care Charges:

After School Care is from 3:35 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria. Students need to report to the cafeteria at 3:35 p.m. No student will be left in the hall or outside without supervision. A snack will be given at 4:15 p.m. Parents will be charged in 1/2 hour increments. Discounts will be given to families with 2 or more children.

All students must be picked up no later than 5:45 p.m. Please keep in mind that the teachers will have worked a 10-hour school day by this time, and the students will have been at school almost as long. There should be no exceptions to the 5:45 p.m. pick-up time. If there is an emergency or you are stuck in traffic, please call the ASC number provided below and let the attending teacher know.  When picking up your child, please go to the cafeteria door and honk.

A bill will be sent home the first week of each month for charges for that previous month. Payment is due within one week that the bills are sent home. There will be a 10% late fee for payments not made within one week. The bills will be sent home with the students. When paying by check, please keep separate from tuition and designate that the check is for BSC/ASC. These payments need to be given to Mrs. Jones, ASC Coordinator.
