Thank you for inquiring about our school. We are proud to show it off. We know that once you look into what we have to offer, you will easily see the reason for our pride.
Our Christian based educational program strives to make our school a place where Jesus Christ lives in the hearts and minds of those who teach and those who learn. We focus on bringing the home, church, and school into a partnership for the purpose of training the next generation.
Our small student-teacher ratio in the regular classroom setting allows our teachers the luxury of addressing each child’s needs daily. Additionally, enrichment activities are provided through such programs as 4-H club, Jr. & Sr. Honor Society, Beta club, D.A.R.E., and True Love Waits. High school sports include varsity and junior varsity sports.

Vision Statement:
Our vision is to provide an excellent Christian Education, uniting home, church and school in Jesus Christ through Kingdom Education so that the generations to come will know the Truth of God’s Word and not forget His works, nor be taken captive by the vain philosophies of their day. Psalms 78:1-7, Colossians 2:8
Elementary:
BGBS elementary students (K-6th grade) are offered a strong academic program with a fun and exciting learning environment. Our curriculum includes a variety of subjects including a strong phonetic reading curriculum, math, handwriting, Bible, reading skills, science, social studies, physical education, music, art and other special units. Academic progress is measured in the spring through the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS). Our goal is to shape the whole child, not just academically, but in every area of their lives by challenging them to be all God has created them to be.
Middle School:
As middle school (grades 7th & 8th) students at BGBS, they discover their unique worth and potential as God’s creation, and are encouraged to continue to raise their level of academic achievement. The curriculum focuses on academic acceleration in Algebra, literature, science, history, Bible, and computer skills, while providing opportunities for personal development in areas of drama, study skills, etiquette, foreign language, beginning band and physical education. BGBS strives to give each of these students an excellent education, which lay the foundation for a Christ-centered and Biblically directed life.
High School:
Many opportunities are given to high school students seeking academic excellence. Honors courses are offered in English. Bible courses and weekly chapel are an integral part of each student’s schedule. Major academic disciplines of math, science, and history are all designed to exceed state graduation requirements. To enhance a student’s overall experience, volunteer community service and career development courses are offered. Our commitment to small classes provides the best environment for learning and growth. Our desire is to prepare students not only for college, but for life through a Christian worldview.
BGBS and Athletics:
BGBS is a member of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association (KCAA) consisting of nearly 26 Kentucky schools with varsity and junior varsity sports. Our high school competes in basketball, softball, volleyball baseball and golf. Middle school athletes participate in volleyball and basketball. Grades 4 – 6 can participate in co-ed soccer in the fall. We feel that the true measure of success is demonstrated through the development of Christian character. Yes, winning is important, but glorifying God is the ultimate goal of our athletic program.
